So refreshing for an author to deliver romance (desire, sensuality) without the need for explicit sex scenes or words! I could feel what the characters were feeling. Even though the book is wonderfully long, I was worried after each page it would be over. The interactions of H/h could have been all this book was about & I would have been happy, but there was so much more. It reads like a novel, not a story just thrown together. I accidentally read the second book first and was disappointed that it had too much history & difficult for me to follow. So thankful I followed up with this book! Some might be put off by the use of words needing to be looked up. I was too lazy to do this and it didn't take away from the story at all. This book is a keeper!Product details

This was a long story and full of mystery, betrayal, loyalty and romance. Many old world words and history gave me moments of gratitude that I wasn't born then. A clean read but occasionally long winded.
I finally started skimming and skipping just to get through this. The detail of the characters every movement during the day and night got to be excruciatingly boring. And while the using of historical words might thrill other readers, it just made rough going all that rougher.
I highly recommend this book if you live this genre. This was the first time every reading anything buy this author but she will now be one I will add to my watch list. Her style reminds me of Garwood. It is a long book but I felt satisfied the story plot moved like it should. Great character development, not just of the main characters but many secondary characters are fleshed out too. I loved the hero, Fallard is the strong, protective, gentle warrior we all love. Ysane is a great heroine too, I felt she acted appropriately for the time period and was mature. The only down side is the sequel isn't out yet! I will definitely plan to read the series!
Although it took me a while to understand the language, I really enjoyed reading about the events that took place during the feudal wars between the Normans and Saxons. I loved the heroism of the knights and their bravery. I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful love story between Ysane and Fallard. I look forward to reading more of your work.
I can't remember how I got the book I think it was free at a party. I read it and loved it. The book kept me interested from cover to cover. I love his nickname for her and all the plotting of the story. If you love romance and historicals I recommend this book. I don't want to give spoilers but it is a HEA that you will be glad you read. Lots of different charactors that keep the story moving.
Rose of Hope is the perfect Medieval Romance, complete with knights, damsels in distress, and rebels trying to overthrow a castle.
I was pulled in from the first scene, and could hardly put it down. This story had a perfect blend of suspense, heartbreak, and romance.
The characters were believable and I loved all the many types of love the author showed between friends and family members.
Great read, perfect for anyone who loves medieval stories in the style of Robin Hood or Ivanhoe.
This entire book flows like a beautiful, mesmerizing poem. It opens with the heroine awaiting execution at dawn. To give you an example of the author's style, we are made fully aware of the woman's pain,her acceptance, her tormented thoughts, and her surroundings as night begins to fade. The language the author employs and her gorgeous descriptions completely immerse the reader in the story. Suspense builds throughout. The characters are strong, emotional, intense. I absolutely loved the hero and heroine as well as some of the secondary characters, so much so that I hated for the story to end. I'm glad it's the first in a series. If you enjoy beautiful writing, sublime characters, and a great story, you really should take a look at "Rose of Hope."
